Homophobia

There are some people who use terms like homophobia, homophobic or homophobe. It could equally be asked; "Why are a great number of homosexuals and homosexual supporters not called Christophobes" if we were honest? Allow me to clarify something for you. Phobias are fears! The genuine Christian fears nothing and nobody! The Bible makes it clearly that God has not given to any true Christian a spirit of fear, but of "Power, Love and a Sound Mind."

If you are a man sexually attracted to men you should then ask yourself why do you feel that way. Nothing happens without a reason. Are you willing to be truthful with yourself. If not, then that could be why you are labeling others as homophobes. People who are firm in their stand don't have to denigrate others calling them names or speak lies about them that lead others to believe false things about them. When people believe with all their heart that they are right about something, nobody can offend them enough to make them go into attack mode.

Questions About Sex And Homophobia

Is God Homophobic? - Seems to be in Romans 1: 26-28, Leviticus 18:22 and Leviticus 20:13

There is no such thing as a gay animal. That argument ignores the spiritual differences that separate men from animals. If you study the science of animals you will find that animals act from instinct not genetic cause. They are totally different from humans in that they have no accountability to God because they haven't a clue about anything having to do with moral standards. The fictitious idea that humans are mere animals is preposterous to those who believe in God as the creator of the earth and all that is in it. We are triparte in nature having body, soul and spirit. We, therefore have a day when we shall all give an account to God for all our thoughts, words and actions.

As far as human genetic studies are concerned; there is no empirical evidence that there is any real genetic connection or cause for homosexual or lesbian behavior. To those who study objectively and base their view on their own personal study this is a reality that cannot be denied. Those who hold to faulty claims of supposed research on this issue do so because they choose to believe what they want no matter where the evidence leads.

If you think Christians are homophobes - you would consider them tame compared to what Muslim radicals think about homosexuals and lesbians. If you were in a Muslim controlled country and they found out you were homosexual you would be taken out to a public place and hanged or have your head chopped off. There's zero tolerance for homosexuals and lesbians in the Muslim communities, and yet I have never seen media attacking the beliefs of the Muslim community and calling them homophobes. Isn't there a double standard in the handling of this issue by the secular press? In Christianity homosexuality is a sin but one that can be forgiven if repented of. I would hardly call that view intolerant. The true Christian exposes sin, in accordance with what the scripture says is sin, but also points to a Savior who delivers from sin. There is no homophobia in leading men to Christ!

You'd also have to call the God of the Bible homophobic since he calls homosexuality and lesbian behavior an abomination. In the Old Testament scriptures both sins were punishable by death unless repented of. In the New Testament, both practices are strongly condemned, but those who repent of them can be free from God's condemnation through repentance, and God’s forgiveness. The penalty for their sin was paid for through the blood of Jesus Christ shed on Calvary that is available to all who will renounce their sin, repent of it and put their faith in Christ's sacrifice for them.

I hope that clarifies the true Christian viewpoint for you. Remember; phobia is fear. Every Christian who places their total faith in God alone fears nothing and nobody!

Below are three verses concerning this subject. The first verses are from the Old Testament and the third from the New Testament. Neither of them or any of the other verses in scripture has anything good to say about same sex relationships. Both of them are severe in what lies ahead for those who pursue these relationships and refuse to repent of them. God will not change his word to suit anyone no matter who they are, were or will be. His word is supreme universal law, and the only right response to it is obedience.

Leviticus 18:22 KJV - "Thou shalt not lie with mankind as with womankind; it is abomination."

Leviticus 20:13 KJV - "If a man also lie with mankind, as he lies with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination; they shall surely be put to death; their blood shall be upon them."

Romans 1:26-28 KJV - "For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature: And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompense of their error which was meet. And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient;

A FINAL WORD: There are those who say that Jesus never said anything concerning homosexual or lesbian behavior. There is a serious and condemning error connected with that assumption that leads to Hell and eternal damnation. Those who subscribe to that deceitful lie of Satan have no understanding of who they are dealing with when they speak of Jesus Christ.

Jesus is God who came in human flesh. As God his words ring out in condemnation to this sexual immorality all through scripture. The only time the Lord Jesus speaks about the right relationship in marriage is in relation to God's intended purpose from the beginning of time.

In Genesis 2:24-25 the Lord speaks of a MAN and his WIFE. He speaks of those verses in the gospels and makes no other reference to either sexual relationships or marriage. In his presentation he favors heterosexual marriage exclusively and abhors divorce. This could continue on to a much needed discussion on divorce itself, but this is not the place for it. As for now I rest my case.

HOMOPHOBE, HOMOPHOBIC OR HOMOPHOBIA

If you're honest, you could ask; "Why are so many homosexuals, lesbians bisexuals and transgenders Christophobic?” Phobias are fears! Genuine Christian believers fear nothing and nobody other than God! The Bible is very clear that God has not given to any Christian a spirit of fear but of "Power, Love and a Sound Mind."

If you are sexually attracted to persons of the same sex as yourself, you should ask yourself why you feel that way. Be honest enough to think of whether your attraction is the normal thing for most people. The same goes for women. Are you willing to be truthful with yourself. If not, that's probably why you are labeling others as homophobic. People who are confident in what they stand for don't denigrate others or call them names or attack them in ways that lead others to believe false things about them.

There is not and has never been such thing as a gay animal. If you would honestly study animal science you would find that what animals do comes from instinct not genetic cause. They are totally different from humans who have accountability to God because God made them as they are just as he made humans with certain parts of their anatomy that identify them as one gender or another. The fictitious idea that humans are animals is not only preposterous to those who believe in God as the creator of the earth and all that is in it, but irrational for anyone outside of any belief in God. The purpose for gender difference from a Christian perspective is that people might enjoy sexual interaction as well as the ongoing survival of humanity. God, in the Bible, acknowledges that it is not good for man to be alone, therefore God created a woman to be his partner and bear his children. The continuance of humanity is impossible apart from the ova and sperm God placed in us to produce other human beings. Sex between two men or two women cannot produce a child. Heterosexual intercourse alone is God's plan and his standard for sex in marriage. Sex other than in a marriage of one man and one woman is clearly defined as sin through the Bible with names like fornication, adultery, burning in lust, vile affection and an abomination. To choose those expressions of sex put anyone at immediate odds with God and earns his wrath if not repented of.

As far as human genetic studies are concerned; there isn't any empirical evidence that there is any real genetic connection or cause for lesbian or homosexual behavior. To those who study genetic cause and base their view on that study this is a reality that cannot be denied. Those who hold to faulty claims of supposed research about this issue do so because they choose to believe what they want no matter where the evidence leads.

If you think Christians are homophobic - you would consider them friendly compared to what Muslims think about homosexuals and lesbians. If you were in a country controlled by radical Muslims and they found out you were homosexual you would be taken out to a public place and hanged or have your head chopped off. There is zero tolerance for homosexuals and lesbians in the Muslim communities. In Christianity homosexuality is sin that can be forgiven if repented of. I would hardly call that view intolerant. The Christian exposes sin, but also points to a Savior who delivers from sin. There is no homophobia there but rather genuine loving concern.

You would also have to call the biblical God homophobic since he calls homosexuality and lesbian behavior an abomination. In the Old Testament scriptures both were punishable by stoning to death unless repented of. In the New Testament, the practice is condemned. God calls such behavior vile affections, that which is against nature and burning in lust. Those who repent of these sins can escape God's condemnation through repentance and God’s forgiveness.

I hope that clarifies the true Christian viewpoint. Remember; phobia is fear of something. Christians who place their total faith in God alone fear nothing and will always speak truth to you without compromise because their love for God and man prohibits them from doing otherwise.
